The arena/ club switch can take the amp from 100watts down to 25w. Its packed with 2 12" celestion vintage 30 speakers and a baltic birch cabnet. This amp is truly the best of both worlds! The Fender automatic Bias control allows you to set the output tubes to the recommended factory setting or your preference of "hotter" or "cooler" bias with no need for meters or tools. Drum roll please.......The results of the Jingle for Jackson contest were announced here in the store on saturday. The winner of the Eric Clapton Signature Custom Shop Strat with the most votes was Mr. Drew Lazelle. His Jingle will be featured on our next radio ad as well in the next few weeks on the Lake 107.7. The runners up were Stephen Parisi in 2nd place, John Cameron in 3rd, Eric Fortier in 4th and last but not least Kevin Seidel in 5th. We greatly appreciate all the effort put in by everyone who put a Jingle in, and everyone who made the cold journey throughout Western New York to vote. Jingle for Jackson Contest!

We are currently running a competition where you could have the chance to win a FENDER CUSTOM SHOP LIMITED EDITION ERIC CLAPTON SIGNATURE STRAT!!!
All you have to do is write a Jingle, no longer than 30 seconds long, and must contain lyrics. Be as creative as you'd like with it. The Jingle who receives the most votes will be aired on our radio ad in December. The submission must be made by November 20, when voting will begin and end on December 10. The winner will be announced live in the store Saturday, December 11. The top 4 runner-ups will also receive prizes. Voting will take place in the store, one vote per person after all the songs are posted on Youtube for everyone to check out. Just so everyone knows, we just received our first Orange AD30 Head. We've gotten tons of calls on this amp and we finally got one in stock.

"All valve, 30 watt, channel switching head. This amplifier sports two dual stage channels with completely separate signal paths. The result is two vintage amps in one. Channel One has a thick, creamy, classic voice that barks like a rottweiler when pushed in to the tone zone. Limited Edition Pin-Striped Gretsch

We just got in one of the new limited edition pin-striped Gretsch Electromatic G5120. California hot rod artist JimmyC hand-painted a limited number of the Gretsch G5120 with his signature classic pin-striping style, using vibrant acrylic paint. Road tested by EVH himself
To say this guitar is "road tested" would definitely be an understatement! Wolfgang prototypes were put through a full year of brutal in-concert road testing by Eddie on Van Halen's triumphant 2007-2008 world tour. The result is a bulletproof and beautiful guitar that takes whatever you can dish out and then asks for more. As the VH tour roared along, Eddie changed and adjusted components and specs until he was satisfied with the Wolfgang's sound, feel and looks. To prove that it was battle-worthy and could survive the road, performance data was collected from every gig for months and months to establish and confirm consistency and durability.

We have the long awaited DR Z Prescription Extra Strength 212 combo amp in stock. This amp is a collaboration of Master Tele Player Brad Paisley and Master Amp builder Mike Zaite. It is a completely revised version of the old one. It sounds incredible!!

"The RX ES design structure is unique for a DR.Z Amp, it uses an EF -86 pentode set up in a post EQ gain layout. This alignment yields a rich harmonic complexity and an almost active response from the tone stack. Its dual calibrated inputs allow for sustaining gain in the Hi input, and a rich warm clean in the Lo input jack. The RX ES also features a footswitchable "Overdose" mode, which engages a 3 dB boost for added drive and gain without altering the preset tone, same EQ'd tone just much more DRIVE."

We just got in a used Fender 56 Closet Classic Stratocaster. It is absolutely gorgeous. The 10/56 shaped maple neck has the nicest grain I think I have ever seen. I don't think this one is going to be here to long, so stop in and check it out of give us a call for more information!

Used MXR Carbon Copy

The MXR Carbon Copy is easily one of the best analog delay pedals on the market right now. It was recently released to much love, garnering praise for its warm all analog tones. While pedals like the Boss Digital Delay are great for modeling delay sounds and incorporating different delay effects, they simply can't replicate the sound of a true analog delay. Until now, the analog delay market has been dominated by the Ibanez AD-9, but the MXR Carbon Copy offers some serious competition. The Carbon Copies have a street price of about $149.99, but we recently obtained a used model, which is tagged at $114.99. It's in excellent shape and looks like it's only been used lightly. There's no replacement for a warm analog delay, so if you've been looking to upgrade, this pedal is a great way to do it. Check out the MXR site for more info on this pedal.

Fender JA-90 Telecaster

Just a quick update - we finally got the Fender JA-90 Telecaster in. This model has been backordered at Fender since the 5th of Forever, so it's pretty exciting to finally see one (Musician's Friend doesn't even have them in stock yet!) It was designed in conjunction with Jim Adkins from Jimmy Eat World, and looks to be like a Thinline Tele with Seymour Duncan P-90s. It's definately a cool piece, so come on down and plug it in.

Les Paul Studio Raw Power

As I'm sure some of you have probably heard, Gibson recently released the Raw Power Studio Les Paul (shown above,) a Les Paul Studio with a solid maple body (as opposed to the standard Mahogany) and a maple neck. This gives the Raw Power a brighter tone than your everyday Les Paul. Besides that, the guitar gives you all the power and punch that is the signature of a Les Paul, complete with a pair of '57 Classic pickups. The stripped down nature of the guitar keeps the price low. You don't pay for any extra frills, just the important stuff. Hence the name "Raw Power." If you've always wanted to try a Les Paul with a maple body and neck, I would definately try this out.

As for other new arrivals, we recieved a couple new Ovation acoustics, as well as a few Takamines. One cool Ovation piece is the Celebrity Trekker (shown above,) which takes the signature Ovation body and shrinks it down into a parlor sized guitar, perfect for travel or to keep around the house. For a smaller sized guitar it sounds great. The Takamines are mostly the G-Series models, which are a really nice option for anyone looking for a well built mid-level guitar. most are priced around the $500 range, and they definately give you a nice bang for your buck.

Used Items

A couple cool used items came in today. First is a 2001 Gibson SG with a cherry finish and an added Seymour Duncan Custom 5 pickup. For those unfamiliar with the Custom 5, Seymour Duncans website describes it as a "higher output '59 Model with a deeper bottom end and expanded output." You can read more on the pickup here.

We also got a few cool Danelectro pedals, including a Grilled Cheese Distortion, Black Coffee Metal Distortion, T-Bone Distortion, Milkshake Chorus, and a Pastrami OD. They came in with a nice carrying case/pedal board and a power supply. A few other notable items include a Tech 21 Comptortion pedal, which is a really cool combo compressor/distortion pedal, and a Digitech Bass Synth Wah pedal. Guitar players, don't let the "Bass" part of the title turn you off. I plugged this in with a guitar, and it sounded great. It's got 7 different filters on it, as well as controls for sensitivity, range, and control, so there are tons of different sounds you can get out of this thing.

Fulltone Catalyst

We just got in the new Fulltone Catalyst, a fuzz/distortion that can also give you a nice clean boost or overdrive. If you've played any of Fulltone's other pedals, you know that they're pretty much unmatched in terms of sound, tone, and reliability. This pedal is no different. I just plugged it in and was blown away by the sound. It's a powerful fuzz, but none of the tone of your guitar is lost, and it's incredibly responsive to changes in dynamics in your playing. Fulltone eliminated most of the problems usually associated with fuzzes, from the lack of mids to interaction issues with wah and modulation pedals. If you've always wanted a fuzz but these problems turned you off, try the Catalyst. It might be just the fuzz you're looking for. Check out the video below to see what this thing can do:

Pictured on the left is an Orange Micro Crush, a cool little battery powered amp that we just got in from Orange. It has a built in tuner, overdrive, headphone output, and it sounds great.
